Biography
Insideout is the work of painter and graphic designer Louis-Pier Charbonneau. Born in 1991 on the North Shore of Montreal, Louis-Pier became interested in visual art at the age of 15 while he was beginning his studies in graphic design. Growing up in a family with Christian values, Louis-Pier developed a vibrant personal faith while continuing his studies in a bachelor's degree in graphic design. After taking a one-year leap into the world of advertising and design agencies, he dedicated himself to his local church as a graphic designer and communications manager. During this time, Louis-Pier cultivated and exercised his passion for his faith and creativity for the benefit of his community.
It is precisely in the context of a search for artistic renewal, spiritual expression and limitless creation that Louis-Pier began to paint in 2019. He discovered a real passion for the interpretation of the abstract and the exploration of concepts such as the spiritual, the soul and nature.
A lover of wide open spaces, calm and nature, he settled in the Estrie region with his family. In 2023, he decided to quit his job to pursue art full-time and officially found Insideout, his creative, graphic design and art studio.
Artistic approach
Louis-Pier Charbonneau is a painter whose artistic approach is deeply rooted in a quest to reveal the invisible and the intangible through art. He creates with the ambition of allowing spectators to interpret the spiritual and emotional dimensions of human existence and the nature that surrounds us. He also seeks to capture and share a part of his inner essence, an approach that makes his art a form of worship. Indeed, for Louis-Pier, the act of artistic creation is intrinsically spiritual. Being created in the image of a creator, he feels a deep need to create in turn. This approach is not just a creative process for him, but a way to connect with something greater than himself.
